HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked <br /> with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this section. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Owens'Response/Corrective Action: <br /> These empty steel containers have been shipped offsite as scrap metal; <br /> the poly totes were sent offsite to a company to be refurbished for re- <br /> use; the poly drums were sent off-site for disposal. <br /> Item 605: CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers ortanks of hazardous waste. <br /> At time of inspection: <br /> -Three 55g drums of Non RCRA hazardous waste solid (oily debris) were seen without a <br /> hazardous property (other was marked) <br /> -One 55g drum of Non RCRA hazardous waste (oil, water) was seen without a hazardous <br /> property marked. <br /> -One 55g drum of Non RCRA hazardous waste liquid (Ethylene glycol) was seen without a <br /> hazardous property marked. <br /> -One 55g drum of Non RCRA hazardous waste liquid (oil) was seen without a hazardous <br /> property marked. <br /> -Eight white totes of Hazardous Waste solid (Chromium Lead Selenium) were seen without a <br /> hazardous property (other was marked). <br /> -One 55g drum of oily contaminated debris near the vehicle maintenance area was seen <br /> without hazardous waste label. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> - the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> - composition(contents) <br /> - accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are <br /> marked with all the required information. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Owens' Response/Corrective Action: <br /> These issues were corrected on the date of the inspection. <br /> 9 <br />
