Tie off and drop <br />into the autoclaveable liner <br />inside of the red cart. <br />Completed by the person with <br />the cart following established <br />procedures. Then transported <br />down and outside to the infectious <br />holding room and prepared for <br />sterilizer. <br />Presented to Infection <br />Control Committee <br />RY OF PICK-UP PROCEDURES <br />Types of Isolation <br />(Infectious waste/linen) <br />1. A.F.B. <br />NOTE: <br />Outside of bag is considered <br />contaminated so it will take <br />2 individuals*, 1 to enter and <br />1 outside with cart to hold the <br />autoclaveable bag, tie off and <br />drop into cart. Follow <br />established procedures in <br />transporting down and outside <br />to the infectious holding room <br />and prepare for sterilizer. <br />*Shift 1 <br />Each Housekeeping Aide assigned <br />in anarea will assist the one <br />with the cart. <br />*Shift 2 & 3 <br />Nursing Staff will continue to <br />be asked to enter and assist <br />the person with the cart. <br />
