" Then place these bags immediately into
the sterilizer chamber.
STEP # 3 With the "cleaning wand" , puncture each autoclave bag with
the pointed end , injecting each bag with water . ( During the
sterilizing cycle , this water will heat to steam, thereby
sterilizing the interior and contents of each bag ) .
STEP # 4 Place "Thermo- Indicator" strip in the center of waste to
be sterilized .
STEP # 5 Close the sterilizer door and turn "hatch wheel " continuously
to the right until tight. Door is now secure and the unit
is ready for operation .
STEP # 6 Proceed to the control panel on the far right of the unit.
Insert the key in the top (of three) operational switch and
turn to the right . This is the main power switch and , once
activated , supplies power to the entire unit . The green
indicator lamp is now lit .
STEP # 7 Once "Step #6" is completed , depress the center push button
which activates the sterilizer cycle. The red indicator
lamp is now lit .
STEP # 8 Monitor the "Automatic Time/Temperature Recorder" until it
reaches 2700 .
STEP # 9 Check the "Pressure Guage" and ensure it reads 20 P .
