Pershing Road in Stockton. Left for site. One 55 gallon drum of used oil <br />filters was observed on its side on the east side of Pershing next to the curb. <br />Filters were spread around drum and oil was spilled onto the roadway. No <br />identifying markings observed on drum. Storm drain was approximately 5-6 feet <br />from drum and 3 feet from oil spill. Storm drain was not impacted by oil. <br />Called Brian Toledo of City of Stockton Storm Water and let him know the <br />situation. He said that he would plug the drain just in case but Public Works would <br />be responsible for clean-up. <br />Called Public Works and notified them of the spill. They said they would have <br />someone go out but it might not be cleaned up until tomorrow. <br />Discussed with Elena Manzo (Lead Sr. REHS). Elena said to notify Stockton <br />Police Department since it is a traffic hazard. <br />Called Stockton Police Department Non-Emergency line and reported the drum of <br />filters in the roadway. <br />Called Public Works back and asked if they would like a photo of the spill. They <br />did not. Said they were headed out there now. Asked them to call when clean-up <br />is complete. City of Stockton Storm Water arrived on site and began to plug the <br />drain.
