Soil Suitability Report BSK Job E21-002-01B
Cascade BESS Project August 26, 2021
Stockton, California P a g e | 2
1.3 Parcel Vicinity Location Map
The site is located in Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 179-140-180-000. The parcel vicinity map is shown
in Appendix A.
1.4 Site Map
This Report includes a Site Vicinity Map and Site Map (Figure 1-A and 1-B) showing the proposed and
existing septic systems and other site-specific items.
2.PRESENT AND PAST USES OF THE SITE
Currently the site is split approximately in half with the northern section being occupied by three buildings
being used as an Adult Care Facility and the southern section is an undeveloped field that is being
developed to expand an electrical substation that is adjacent to the western edge of the site. Currently,
the site has two septic/wastewater leech line areas. One of the septic systems is located at the southeast
corner of the building upfront closest to Carpenter Road and is marked by two large access manholes. The
other septic system is located near the rear building closest to the lease property. The septic system
closest to the front building was already installed when the building was purchased in 1987. The other
septic system was installed in approximately 1994 or 1995. Surrounding the site is mixed residential and
agriculture use.
2.1 Potential Site Problem Assessment
The future development of the site includes replacement of the previous wastewater septic/leech lines
and the construction of a new, commercial septic system to be installed on the northeastern edge of the
site for the three existing buildings. Discharge and use should remain the same as the adult care facility is
not planned to be expanded or altered at this time. The only change will be the removal of the previous
septic/leech line system and the installation of a commercial septic system.
3.EXISTING AND PROPOSED SPETIC TANK USAGE SECTION
3.1 Existing On-Site Septic Tank Usage
There are two existing septic systems that each connects to seepage pits via leach lines located at the
southeastern portion of the adult care facility property. Based on permits obtained for the site seen in
the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) records, there are other existing septic
systems used in the neighboring residential areas.
3.2 Site Septic Permit History
There are eight (8) septic permits were obtained at the site for installation, repairing or adding septic
systems in the records at the EHD spanning from 1972 to 2006 for residential and commercial usage. The
records of the permits are provided in Appendix B and summarized as follows:
