A well designed network of attractive and accessible (batt <br />visually and physically) public open spaces are necessary to offset the lack of private open <br />spaces that result from the higherdensities and smaller lots Proposed in much of Mountain <br />House. Also, since BO 5/o of the community is proposed to be developed with various urban <br />or suburban land uses, mitigation for the lass of wildlife, open space and agricultural <br />values must be incorporated into this Master Plan. <br />This chapter includes, Section 7.2: Parks and Open Space Plan; Section 7.3: Blologroal <br />Resources Management, which includes a Habitat Management Plan, provisions for <br />agricultural land preservation, requirements for special status species, weVands, and off- <br />site biological Impacts; and Section 7.4-� Cultural Resources_ <br />Other topics related to recreation and open space Fire lncluded in the Master Plan as <br />follows, Chapter 4 contains development and design of landscape corridors including <br />streets and gateways, windbreaks, open space setbacks and community edges; Chapter <br />g contains transportation and circulation provisions for bicycle and pedestrian circulation <br />that is not part of the park's tro 1 system, Chapter 15 contains storm drainage and flood <br />protection rel FiUrg to the design and development of the Mountain House Creek Park and <br />other open space areips, <br />7.2 PARKS AND OPEN SPACE PLAN <br />7.2.9 Plan Contents <br />Overview, Parks and open space comprise approximately 15% of the Mountain <br />House community (see Table 7 17 Recreation and Open Space Areas and Figure <br />7.9, Recreation and Opan Space Plan).
