(5) POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT: WASTE SPILLS FROM TRAFFIC <br />ACCIDENTS <br />Due to the vehicle traffic to this transfer facility, it is possible that a solid waste <br />spill could be caused by traffic accidents <br />Findings: <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project <br />which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect as <br />identified in the Final EIA. <br />Statement of Fact: <br />The impact will be reduced by the following: <br />The project proponent shall establish a procedure to provide for the cleanup of <br />solid waste spills due to traffic accidents. <br />C. PUBLIC SERVICES AND FACILAIES <br />(1) POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT: EFFECTS ON FIRE PROTECTION <br />SERVICE <br />The fire districts requirements should be incorporated as a condition of project <br />approval or tie incorporated into the construction specifications for the project a <br />approved. <br />Findings• <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project <br />which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect as <br />identified in the Final EIA. <br />Statement of Fact: <br />The impact will be reduced by the following: <br />Fire district fire protection requirements shall be as specified: <br />• All buidings shall be sprinkled in accordance with NFPA Pamphlet 13. <br />• A pressurized water system with diesel backup shall be provided in <br />accordance with NFPA 24 and NFPA Pamphlet 20. <br />• Fire flows shall be in accordance with the Uniform Fire Code, 1991 <br />Edition, Appendix 3-A <br />• Access shall be in accordance with the Uniform Fire Code, 1991 Edition. <br />.cachment A -4 - UP -93-2 <br />
