Cannabis Waste Procedures
CULTIVA LLC
Cultiva, LLC has been communicating with various licensed cannabis waste services to
contract with to handle all of its waste and disposal needs. The licensed waste services
company will drop off secured waste receptacles and pick up as needed for all of
Cultiva LLC's cannabis waste needs. Cultiva LLC will comply with all local and state
regulations concerning waste management practices.
1 . Operations Manager determines whether a batch of cannabis product is to be
disposed of by doing one of the following:
Receiving information from a licensee that a batch has failed for compliant testing
and is deemed uncorrectable pursuant to the remediation rules and guidelines
set-forth by the Bureau of Cannabis Control and authorizes the licensee to
schedule for disposal of said batch. Concurrently, Operations Manager will file
COA reflective of failed batch in "Failed Batches for Waste" folder, and have it
available for any local or state agency requesting to review it.
If a batch or products is deemed damaged or doesn't pass one or more R&D
testing, Operations Manager will fill the waste receptacle provided by the
licensed waste services company with that batch or products for the appropriate
product type and arrange for pick up once the bins are full.
2. All records and documents will be filed in their appropriate electronic file as well as in
their hard copy files and will be available for local and state agencies upon immediate
request.
3. All waste receptacles are secured and stored away from employee and personnel access.
Any access to the waste receptacles will be logged, monitored (camera surveillance &
management) and accessed only through secured access capabilities (e.g. fob censoring).
4. Once the licensed cannabis waste company has retrieved the waste receptacle filled
with cannabis goods for destruction (or cannabis waste), an authorized agent of their
company present at time of pick-up will weigh the receptacles in totality, provide us with
a weight certificate as well as sign and take the shipping manifest prepared for all
cannabis goods within each marked waste receptacle.
Disposal and Destruction Methods:
• Cultiva LLC may not sell cannabis waste.
Copyright Step Wise Consulting LLC 2020 All Rights Reserved - Confidential—Do Not Copy or Distribute Without Authorization
