Farming impact:
This rural property is zoned AG-40, in a flood plain, and not in the path of development. It will take
prime farmland out of production and have a negative impact on normal farming operations.
• If approved, the ag mitigation fee for removal of farmland from production should be assessed.
• The proposal states there will be "classes" for children. The number of classes, number of attendees,
days and hours needs to be put in detail. Will this be considered a school and impact the ability of
surrounding farms to continue using current, modern farming methods, i.e. Right to Farm?
• This property is in a flood plain, and we are concerned about a septic system capable of supporting
1000 people, 365 days per year, increased nitrates in the water from a retention pond and eventual
drainage into Old River.
• Livestock is still moved on the roadways between farms in this area. How will this be mitigated with
a 365 day/year facility?
• Farm equipment is moved on these roadways daily, often using both lanes and blocking traffic.
• The development permit needs to include an acknowledgement by the developing Yoga Center of
the surrounding Ag property as to their Right to Farm with all that entails, dust, smells, irrigation,
fertilizing, and pesticide applications.
Noise/Hours of Operation:
The proposed operating hours are 7 days per week,365 days/year and until 9pm at night. This will increase
noise in a rural area and create a negative impact on neighboring farms and residents.
• No outdoor amplification
• Hours of operation should be limited to 7pm
Lastly, we believe that requiring interested parties to notify Mr. Sanfilippo that they wish to be updated
on this project is an exclusionary tactic. We believe every property owner and interested party should
have been automatically kept apprised of this project. We ask that this conditional use permit as
proposed is denied.
Name Address
J Gyia 5)ee- Rc c 3a
c 9S
Q►, J C.Q p'*'l! 1` ,0p' -rraG 6A 5.3 0 Y-
----►'` 3
