We provide Vegan foods to homeless shelters on <br /> special eves and festivals. <br /> o Natural Disaster Recovery Support in Developing/Underdeveloped Countries—we <br /> have launched an initiative to support flood effected areas in developing/ <br /> underdeveloped countries and regularly contribute donations in support of victim <br /> families. <br /> o Other community services-Health Services, School Supplies, College Scholarships, <br /> etc. We identify the community's most critical needs and implement collaborative, <br /> innovative solutions to improve lives&community we live in. <br /> • Complementary and Alternative Medical (CAM) Services (including Music Therapy): <br /> o Ayurveda and Naturopathy Health Awareness Camps-Ayurveda is a system of <br /> medicine with historical roots in the Indian subcontinent. Globalized and modernized <br /> practices derived from Ayurveda traditions are a type of alternative medicine. In <br /> countries beyond India, Ayurvedic therapies and practices have been integrated in <br /> general wellness applications and in some cases in medical use. We would like to <br /> impart knowledge to local public of these Indian based CAM therapies as an adjuvant/ <br /> home remedy, We are also planning to grow herbs to use for treatments, and all these <br /> camps are being supervised under the board-certified physicians. <br /> o Healing Music Sessions—Our spiritual/yoga teacher is a world-renowned music <br /> therapist, by using His recorded tunes/albums, we would like to offer music therapy <br /> sessions to the public for no cost. <br /> • Indian Cultural Art(Classical Music&Dance)Classes— <br /> o Since there is an increased interest and demand for art based extracurricular skills <br /> especially for school going kids,with professional musicians and dance teachers,we <br /> would like to offer weekend Indian classical music and dance classes to the local <br /> public. <br /> The DYC is sustained by the generosity of its devotees. In keeping with strict Hindu beliefs,this <br /> property will be strictly vegetarian &environmentally friendly in nature. <br /> This facility will generally be open from 10:00 a.m.to 12:00 Noon on weekday mornings and 6.00 pm to <br /> 9.00 pm on evenings and 10.00am to 9.00 pm on weekends, seven days a week. Weekday uses will include <br /> worship services, meditation, and religious assembly;weekend services include worship services, <br /> meditation, religious assembly, social services, and health awareness camps and Vedanta studies. Also,the <br /> management has proposed to install solar panels on property to make itself reliant on energy and proposes <br /> to donate the excess power to local city/County at no cost, <br /> Additional project details: <br /> • Days of Operation: 7 days a week,year-round. <br /> • Hours of operation: 10.00am to 12.00pm &6.00pm to 9.00pm daily. <br /> • Number of employees: In Phase 1, there will be on priest and in Phase 2,there will be three(3) <br /> which includes facility manager and priests <br /> • Amplified noise: None <br /> • Phase 2- 12,000 Sq ft Temple/Prayer hall:A central area for daily prayers would operate <br /> everyday with no more than 50 attendees at any given time during week days, no more than <br /> 200 persons at any given time on weekends.
