According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned AG- <br /> 40, General Agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This zoning <br /> designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agriculture enterprises" (San Joaquin County Community Development <br /> Department. <br /> Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> Two septic systems are currently located on the Site. <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> No new septic systems are proposed. <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permit files were <br /> searched for the Site addresses. Four permits were identified: <br /> • March 1969 permit for addition to existing residential septic system. A 45-foot <br /> leach line and a sump were added to the system (3592). <br /> • February 1988 permit for repair to existing residential system. A 40-foot leach <br /> line and a 2- by 10- by 10-foot deep sump were added to the system (3592). <br /> • April 2017 permit for addition to existing septic system at residence. The permit <br /> indicates a 1,600-gallon septic tank and two 50-foot leach lines were installed <br /> (3592). <br /> • December 2018 permit for replacement septic system at residence. A 1,200- <br /> gallon septic tank and four 75-foot leach lines were installed (3434). <br /> These permits have been included in Appendix 4 of this report. <br /> Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity <br /> To estimate the septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic systems that <br /> exist within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo imagery <br /> from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photo was assumed to have <br /> one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that at least 23 septic systems per <br /> square mile are located in the immediate vicinity of the Site. <br /> The Site is surrounded by vineyards with rural residences. <br /> LOGE 2151 Page 2 <br />
