FOR REFERENCE ONLY BUSINESS CONFIDENTIAL <br /> Hazardous Materials Spill Response HAZ-006 <br /> Transferring Hazmats <br /> If an SDS is obtained and contains spill response information: <br /> a. Determine if the available PPE is appropriate. <br /> b. Proceed accordingly. <br /> i. If no, call FXG Emergency Spill Response Service at 833.FXG.SPIL (833.394.7745) to <br /> request assistance. <br /> ii. If yes, determine if respiratory protection is necessary for the size and nature of the spill. <br /> A. If it is necessary, call FXG Emergency Spill Response Service at 833.FXG.SPIL <br /> (833.394.7745) to request assistance. <br /> B. Review the product hazards and spill cleanup procedures on the SDS. <br /> If the SDS cannot be obtained or if immediate spill information is necessary, read the <br /> following materials and take appropriate action. <br /> — Package labels <br /> — Markings (such as Hazard communication GHS pictograms) <br /> — OP-90OLL <br /> — OP-90OLG <br /> Spill guides in the OP-890 <br /> — ERG-S <br /> Transferring Hazmats <br /> All damaged Hazmat packages must be transferred Into a lined and properly labelled salvage drum <br /> immediately and always within 96 hours of discovery in accordance with the guidelines specified in <br /> the following Hazmat training: <br /> • HAZ124 <br /> • HAZ123 <br /> • OP-894 <br /> • OP-890 <br /> Safety Dispositions <br /> The Safety department, PGH provides specific instructions for the undamaged and damaged <br /> portions of the incident. A Safety disposition is sent to the station/hub after it submits a Hazardous <br /> Material Incident Report and an ISF. The reports must be completed, printed, and submitted to <br /> Safety within 48 hours. If the report is not generated within 48 hours, the Safety department, PGH <br /> must be contacted.
