The eastern property line corresponds to theis also the Austin Road centerline <br />T-tf\eof Austin Road right-of-way, owned by the County of San Joaquin, and is approximately <br />60 feet wide. The western thirty feet of this right-of-way is within the Forward property. <br />Easement. A portion of the site area is consumed by creek easements. The South Fork of <br />South Littlejohn's Creek is located in the southern portion of the landfill and its easement <br />comprises approximately 10.8 acres. The North Fork of South Little john's Creek was <br />relocated north of the landfill footprint. The easement relocation of the North Fork <br />comprised approximately 16.5 acres. The South Fork of South Littlejohn's Creek easement <br />is shown in Figure 2. <br />~ter Wens. There are three water we lls at the site. A 2,000 gpm well at the landfill <br />entrance facility , a 1,000 gpm wel l for fire and dust contro l at the rear of the RRF, and a 20 <br />gpm for domestic use loeated i n the front of the facility . <br />Offsite. Structures within 1,000 feet of the site boundaries are shown in Figure 3. Twe <br />residences are located approximately 1,800 and 2,200 feet from the northeastern corner of <br />the site. A th ird residenoe is approximate ly gOO feet east of the site along the southern <br />banl~ of the South Forl~. As shown in Figure 3, there is one residence located near the site <br />(within approximately a half mile or less). The residence at 9690 Austin Road is <br />approximately 500 feet from the landfill. on the east side of Austin Road across from the <br />landfill's main entrance. This dwelling is currently rented by Forward,.-ffiv. and kept vacant. <br />In addition. three residences. with surrounding ancillary structures. are located on the east <br />side of Austin Road. approximately one mile north of the main landfill entrance. Two <br />additional residences. with surrounding ancillarv structures. are located east of Austin Road. <br />south of the landfill. <br />Scales/Scale house. Gru;~cale facilities are-ffi located in the southeast portion of the site to <br />service the RRF and composting operations. Incoming loads are monitored at the scale <br />house and all vehicular activities are regulated in accordance with the established <br />hHazardous wWaste Exclus ion Program/Load Checking Program. In the event that <br />additional capability is needed, the scales at the Forward Landfill can be utilized. The scale <br />facilitiesOOttse for the landfill includes..f:\as foof-three scales and are+s located in the central <br />portion of the site. <br />As shown in Figure 3, the current land use for the area surrounding the site is primarily <br />agricultural. The State of California operates the Northern California Youth Correctional <br />Center, about one mile north of the Forward site (Figures .1~ and 3). A "aGant vlomen's <br />oorrectiona l faGi lity is a lso located north of the site and other uses for it are currently under <br />consideration by the State.Adjacent (east) to the Northern California Youth Correctional <br />Center is the recently constructed CHCF. <br />Facility Boundaries <br />The RRFjCompost Facility are situated in the southeastern most portion of the Forward <br />Landfill. The South Fork of South Littlejohn's Creek traverses the site in a southwesterly <br />direction and the RRFjCompost Facility are south of the South Fork.
