FLINN <br />DEPUTY DIRECTOR <br />MANUEL LOPEZ <br />DEPUTY DIRECTOR <br />San Joaquin County has prepared two Negative Declarations <br />for the proposed acquisition of the Foothill Landfill real <br />property and the transfer of the operation of Foothill <br />Landfill to San Joaquin County. I have enclosed a copy of <br />each of these documents for your review. <br />The first proposal consists of the purchase of <br />approximately 880 acres of land located east of Waverly <br />Road in San Joaquin County and in Stanislaus County. <br />The second proposal consists of transfer of the operating <br />agreement from Foothill. Landfill Incorporated to San <br />Joaquin County, the assignment of an existing lease to San <br />Joaquin County, and the acquisition of operating equipment <br />and other assets by San Joaquin County. <br />The documents were prepared separately due to the fact <br />that these projects will be considered individually by the <br />San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors./Responses to the <br />proposed adoption of the Negative declaration for the <br />first proposal (real property acquisition) must be <br />received prior to March 3, 1988 in order to be considered. <br />Responses to the proposed adoption of the Negative <br />Declaration for the second proposal (transfer of <br />operations) most be received prior to March 11, 1988 in <br />order to be considered® <br />If you have questions regarding this matter please call I me <br />at (209) 468-3000. <br />Veryuly Yours, <br />R.L.
