The
County acknowledges that there are some areas on the slopes that required some maintenance. These
areas have been properly seeded so that vegetation will grow. When the growing season starts again,
these areas will become covered with the proper amount of vegetation.
The development of a new waste management module and subsequent closure of the current area of fill is
currently slated for 2003. Current analysis of incoming waste and available space has determined that the
movement into a new waste management unit will occur in December 2003, thus the new module will be
developed the summer of 2003. The County will submit all proper documentation and permit
information when the time comes to develop the new module.
If you have any questions, please contact me at(209)468-3066.
Sincerely,
MICHAEL KALISH
Associate Engineer
MK:vn
\\Solid-waste\engineering\Michael\FMRQWCBinsp_esponse.wpd
Enclosure
c: Robert McClellon, Lead Senior R.E.H.S., Environmental Health Division,Public Health Services
LA 31103
