The
County proposes to drill and hydropunch into the aquifer in two locations approximately 500 feet
downgradient from MW-3. These will be temporary borings and will be grouted up when the work is
completed. The two locations, represented as PB-1 and PB-2 on the enclosed maps, will allow for
evaluation of the release detected in MW-3.
Enclosed you will find maps showing the approximate locations of two proposed hydropunch borings and
a cross-section for determining the approximate location of groundwater.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (209) 468-3066.
Sincerely,
W! 16a
MICHAEL KALISH
Associate Engineer
MK:vn
N:\MichaeI\FH\new_we11s.wpd
Attachments
c: Robert McClellon, Lead Senior R.E.H.S., Environmental Health Division, Public Health Services
LA 64201
