PC : 9-17--E7— <br /> TA-88-2 <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the Planning Commission: <br /> 1 . Recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve the Negative <br /> Declaration and instruct the Clerk to file a Notice of <br /> Determination. <br /> 2 . Forward TA-88-2 to the Board of Supervisors with a recommen- <br /> dation to approve the Text Amendment based on the "Bases for <br /> Recommendation" listed below. <br /> BASES FOR RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1 . The proposed Text Amendment is consistent with the General <br /> Plan. <br /> The uses proposed and the changes recommended have been <br /> determined to be consistent with the zones implementing the <br /> General Plan. <br /> 2 . The proposed Text Amendment will not have a substantial , <br /> adverse effect on properties affected by the Text Amendment. <br /> No substantial , adverse effects on properties are foreseen. <br /> The revisions proposed are intended to: <br /> a. Reduce processing time and level of review for the most <br /> routine applications ; <br /> b. Eliminate unnecessary provisions; <br /> c. Clarify or correct existing sections of the Code; <br /> d. Strengthen and/or make more reasonable the processing <br /> requirements specified for certain activities and permits; <br /> e. Add uses to the use listings of various zones, consistent <br /> with the intent of those zones ; and <br /> f . Revise procedures to simplify maintenance of department <br /> records. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> This Text Amendment application was initiated by the Planning <br /> Division. It contains a number of revisions as described in the <br /> second "Bases for Recommendation" above . <br /> -4- <br />
