Item No. _
PC: 6-5-86
SU -86-10
Page 9
REFERRALS AND REPLIES
Referrals were sent on November 20, 1985, for preapplication
review of this project, and responses were requested by December
4, 1985. Referrals were sent on March 5, 1986, for formal appli-
cation review, and responses were requested by March 18, 1986.
Department of Public Works (responses, 12-16-85, 3-31-86, and
5-20-86):
"The site, in general, is not located within a Federal Flood
Insurance Administration Designated Flood Hazard Area. Portions
of the area adjacent to Jahant Slough are within the 100 -year
flood plain. Terminal drainage from this site is available to
Jahant Slough through installation of an approved storm system.
Woodson Road and Jahant Road have existing right-of-way widths of
60 feet and planned right-of-way widths of the same."
See the recommended Conditions of Approval.
Local Health District (responses, 12-4-85 and 3-18-86):
See the recommended Conditions of Approval.
Pacific Bell (response, 11-25-85):
There is an existing aerial plant (pole line) running adjacent to
this project. If it is requested to be undergrounded, the cost
of undergrounding is to be borne totally by the developer.
Woodbridge Fire District (response, 12-9-85):
"Woodson Estates is 6% miles from the fire station in Woodbridge.
The area to be served is without a water system for fire protec-
tion. We are requesting that Section 10.301(c) be enacted to
assure a water supply is available for this subdivision. Water
supply may consist of reservoirs, pressure tanks or other devices
capable of supplying water. The electrical power supply for the
pump shall be provided in duplicate or a reliable stand-by source
of power be provided.
"Cul-de-sacs must have at least a 40' radius to allow the move-
ment of fire apparatus. Small cul-de-sacs make it very dif-
ficult, if not impossible, to turn heary fire apparatus in order
to perform emergency operations.
"We feel a fire station and building should be provided by the
developer because of the demand of residents for adequate fire
and rescue (medical) services.
