Alamo Alarm responds to a fire alarm by calling the Linden Fire Department and
County staff. In the event of a burglar alarm, Alamo Alarm calls the Sheriff's
Department and County staff. The County has supplied Alamo Alarm with a
County staff call list, which contains the necessary telephone contact information.
LOAD CHECKING
Hazardous wastes are prohibited in the landfill. The Load Checking Program is
explained in the January 2004 Hazardous Waste Exclusion Program for the
North County Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill located in Appendix H of the
Joint Technical Document.
The same load checking activities that are conducted in the Recycling Center will
be done at the location were the general public will be dumping. The load
checking program assigns a Solid Waste Recovery Worker to check loads and
visually monitoring the unloading area. This load checker examines the contents
of the vehicles as they are unloading, checking for unacceptable wastes. Loads
containing hazardous waste will be rejected and customers will be provided with
information regarding the proper disposal of hazardous waste. The daily random
load checking activities will continue while the Recycling Center is closed for
repairs.
Page 3
M:\Jaime\NCRCSL OPS PLAN 100707 TO 102107.doc
9/28/2007
