Hi Case,
Thank you for the email. I will give it to the area inspector.
Thank you,
Ge*%.eyi y Marl-i,vvea I Sr. Office Assistant
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E. Hazelton Ave. Stockton, CA 95205
(209)468-02171A (209) 468-34331 El gmartinez@sigov.org
EHD Website: https://www.sigov.org/department/envhealth/
From: Case Gilson<case@armer-norman.com>
Sent:Tuesday, September 13, 2022 7:28 AM
To: EH-UST<ust@sigov.org>
Cc: Keith Powers<Keith.Powers@aIbertsons.com>;Tyler Olea <Tyler.0lea@albertsons.com>;Aldo Basurto
<aldo.basurto@safeway.com>
Subject: Safeway 2707, 6425 Pacific Ave, Stockton-Secondary Containment 2022
Good day SJCEHD HazMat/UST
I am writing to align on secondary containment status at the subject facility. Recent 36-mo periodic testing
documented "fail" for all secondary piping pressure integrity and UDC hydrostatic integrity but the testing was
attempted with all secondary piping termination boots removed. With the new drip-floor UDC adapter frames
at the site, the UDC necks are now significantly closed and thus the piping termination boots are not accessible
from grade for secondary testing.
To make the UDCs and the secondary piping testable, valved secondary jumpers will be installed for all
termination boots. This configuration allows each UDC to act as "point of earliest detection" containment
2
