3. Daily Cover Soil
Daily cover soil is being stockpiled nearby the winter pad for winter operations.
This task is expected to be completed by end of November weather permitting.
4. Soil Drainage Berms
Soil drainage berms will be installed at the southern edge of Module 2A's top
deck to convey storm water runoff to the down drains (Figure 1). This task is
expected to be completed by mid-November weather permitting.
5. Grading
The existing top deck of Module 2A will be graded with 3% slope towards the
south to aid storm water runoff and minimize ponding. This task is an on-going
task as the refuse is placed.
6. Storm water management
a. Non -Contact Storm water
Shallow drainage berms will be installed on the south side of Module 2A to direct
storm water to down drains (Figure 1). The down drains will be installed to
convey the storm water into the existing perimeter drainage ditches and retention
pond. This task is expected to be completed by mid-November weather
permitting.
b. Contact Storm water
With the appropriate grading, minimum ponding and infiltration of storm water is
expected. Storm water that infiltrates into the refuse will be contained
by Module 2A's LCRS system.
7. Erosion Control
Side slopes of Module 2A have been track walked to minimize erosion.
N:\1Foothill\Winterization\2017\2017-9-27-FH-Winterization Plan.docx
FH -2017-18 Winterization Plan Page 2 of 2 Revised 10/3/2017
