Best Management Practices <br />K. The Developer shall comply with MHSWMP policies, MHSWMP mitlgaHon measures antl Phase <br />I antl 11 NPDES permit requir¢ments, including th¢ preparation antl implementation of an SWPPP <br />that outlines B. M.P.s to ba followed to minimize erosion and sedimentation during project <br />construction antl operation. <br />1. The Developer shall install catch basin filt¢rs, Waiar D¢contaminator per MHCSD Stantlard <br />Specification and Details, and/or other source control Bast Management Practices (B_M.Ps) for <br />runoff from the project prior to issuance of the building Permit. <br />Construction -Related Erosion: The Developer and/or contractor shall comply with applicable <br />NPDES General Construction Activities Storm Water Permit requ(rements establishetl by the <br />Claan Water Act. Pursuant to the NPDES Storm Water Program, an application for coverage <br />under the statewide General Construction Activities Storm Water Permit (General Permit) shall <br />b¢ obiain¢tl for project d¢velopmant prior to the issuance of gratling permits. The Developer <br />and/or contractor shall obtain coverage under the General Parmlt by filing a Notice of Intent with <br />the Stare Water Resource Control board's (SW RCB) Division of Water Quality. Tha filing shall <br />describe erosion control and stormwater treatment measures to ba Implemented during and the <br />following construction and provitle a schedule for monitoring performance. MHCSD approved <br />B.M.P.s shall serve to control point and non -point source pollutants in stormwater and shall <br />constitute the project's stormwat¢r pollution prevention program (SWPPP) for construction <br />activities. Timing: All applicable permits shall be obtained prior to the Issuance of grading permits <br />for the project. <br />m. Project Developer shall develop antl submit a Project stormwater Pian that identifies the methods <br />to be employed to reduce or eliminate stormwater pollutant discharges through the construction, <br />operation, antl mal ntenance of source control measures, low impact tlevelopment design, site <br />design measures, stormwater treatment control measures, and hydro modification control <br />measures. <br />n. Runoff from non-resitlential areas shall be pretreated on-site before tlischarg¢ into the MHCSD <br />public stormwater collection system. <br />o. Catch basin inserts -(Decontaminators) shall be installed in each storm tlrain inlet structure. The <br />tlecontaminator shall comply with MHCSD Detail SD -22. The type of decontaminators has to be <br />pre -approved by MHCSD.•' <br />p. "A'No Dumping' marker shall be install¢d at each catch basin after the catch -basin is installed per <br />Detail SD -04." <br />q. Grates and In -lets shall be protected with geo-fabric material during any nearby construction. <br />r. The contractor will be responsible for purchasing, installing. and maintaining all the catch basins <br />and other storm drain Inlets and tlecontaminators before antl tluring construction. After <br />construction the management shall maintain the all catch basins and other storm drain inlets and <br />decontaminators in perpetuity. <br />s. Recyclable Construction Waste: Recycling of construction wastes, such as wootl and metal, shall <br />be matle part of the improvement plans and construction specifications for contractors in <br />compliance with -MHCSD requirements. <br />t. Designated Waste Hauler Provider: The MHCSD's designated waste hauler, West Valley <br />Disposal, shall be used for disposal of waste malarial and recycling of recyclable materials.
