GRADES AND ALIGNMENT Grade and alignment for the installation and Construction staking will be set by the Engineer as follows: a) Grade stakes will be set on the street property line at 50 feet intervals. These grade stakes will give the relative elevation to the top of finished pavement and gutter flow line at that point. A tack will be set in the stake locating the street property line. The Contractor will transfer these lines and grades for the street construction. b) Sewer grade stakes will be set at intervals of 33-1/3 feet at all manhole locations and at the end of all lines, except as noted on plans. The Contractor will transfer the finish grade elevations for manhole and lamphole covers from the grades set under a) above. c) The Contractor shall notify the Engineer at least three (3) working days before stakes are needed.
