FINISHED CONCRETE <br /> After full compaction, the concrete shall be floated with a wood float, <br /> trowelled smooth, then broomed to give a light broom finish. <br /> 12. SCORING <br /> Curbs and gutters shall be deep scored transversly every six (6) <br /> feet. <br /> 13. TESTING FLOW LINES <br /> Immediately after the concrete has taken its initial set, the flow line <br /> of the gutter shall be tested for irregularities by running water in the <br /> gutter. Should water from a puddle over 1/16" deep after the flow has <br /> ceased, the condition shall be remedied by adding or removing mortar, <br /> as the case may require. The flow line of the gutter shall be kept to <br /> a uniform grade. A straight edge of at least twelve (12) feet in length <br /> shall be used for checking the flow line. <br /> 14. CURING <br /> Immediately after the placing of the concrete has been completed it <br /> shall be treated with a liquid curing agent as approved by the Engineer. <br /> 15. TOLERANCE <br /> The flow line of the gutter, after all finishing has been completed, <br /> shall not deviate more than 1/6" from the established grade at any <br /> point. <br /> 16.
