SECTION H - STORM DRAIN PUMPING EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS TYPE UW IMMERSI-PUMP INSTALLATION Furnish Two Type UW Immersible Centrifugal Model - UWNSBC-4 Non-Clog Sewage Pump complete with motor as manufactured by Chicago Pump or approved equivalent. Each pump shall have a cast iron casting. The pumps are to be equip- ped with cast iron enclosed impellers dynamically balanced for all hydrau- lic loads within the operating range of secured in place by means of a lock screw. A substantial tripod support shall be cast integral with pump casing. The design of the pump shall permit removal of motor shaft im- peller assembly without the need to disconnect the discharge piping or remove the pump casing from the basin. Each pump shall be driven by a 3 HP, 480 volt 3 phase 60 Hertz AC 1150 RPM Motor which shal I be UL approved for use in Class 1 Group D Haz- ardous Location. Each motor shall have a corrosion resistant cast iron frame, cast iron and shields, and a stainless steel shaft. Each motor shall incorporate an inner and an outer water seal and a moisture sensing probe which will sense the presence of water in the event the outer seal fails. Thermal protection rated NEMA MGI-12 shall be standard with insulation compatible to Class B rated system with Class F components. Motor shall be furnished with not less than 30 feet of multi-conductor cable with ground wire as standard.
