SPECIFICATIONS FOR SEWAGE LIFT STATION - (Con't) <br /> SUMP PUMP <br /> i <br /> There shall be installed in the sump well a submersible sump pump with <br /> 1/3 HP motor mounted directly above the impeller. It shall have a min- <br /> imum capacity of 780 G.P.H . at 20' T.D.H . The pump shall be controlled <br /> by a float switch. The sump discharge line shall be connected from sump <br /> well to the wet well. It shall discharge back into the wet well through a <br /> I!,." schedule 40 steel pipe with two check valves and a gate valve within <br /> the pump chamber. <br /> EQUIPMENT CHAMBER <br /> It shall be a vertical cylinder with sidewalls of 14" steel rolled to have an inside <br /> diameter of 7'. The clear inside height shall be 8' . The top and bottom of the <br /> chamber shall be 3/8" flanged plate. The bottom shall be reinforced by 8" <br /> 1 beams 18.4# extending 1' outside the chamber diameter both directions. <br /> The top shall be reinforced by 8" channels 13.75# in both directions to support <br /> over burden or if necessary these sections should further be reinforced <br /> by a more heavier section. <br /> ENTRANCE TUBE <br /> The entrance tube with access ladder and cover shall be a vertical cylinder <br /> constructed of 14" steel place with an inside diameter of 36". It shall be <br /> stiffened at the top by z" x 3" bar and at the bottom by a 2" x 2" x 1411 angle. <br /> This angle should rest on a 21" x 214" x 14" angle welded to the top on the pump <br /> chamber. <br /> DUPLEX PUMP CONTROL <br /> A NEMA Type I or approved equivalent, with dead front enclosure fabricated <br /> of steel shall house all control equipment. The high voltage section of the <br /> panel including all circuit breakers and motor starters shall have a remov- <br /> able cover with 14 turn latching devices. Circuit breakers, motor starters, <br /> reset buttons and pump control H .O.A. switches will be surface mounted for <br /> accessible operation without opening the high voltage panel. The low voltage <br /> and pneumatic pump control section shall be enclosed in a hinged section of <br /> the panel and isolated from the high voltage section.
