Village Dr., Lodi
San Joaquin County APN 009-300-09
Dear Lisa,
51 t.:lll►aLs3:
5 X04 C202 -
CIVIL ENGINEERING
WATER
WASTEWATER
DRAINAGE STUDIES
GRADING PLANS
LAND DEVELOPMENT
SOIL TESTING
Per our phone conversation on August 15, 2006, we understand there may only be 12" of
permeable soil on the above referenced project site. My opinion is that we need to propose an
engineered septic fill with a subsequent intermittent sand filter to at -grade septic system
design to be placed upon this "fill". Per your request, the following is the procedure for building
this "fill" which we have perfected over 4+ years of use.
1. Clear and grub septic "fill" site.
2. Place 6" of loamy sand to sandy loam on site and rip through sand and into soil to
depth of. 18" + with bulldozer.
3. Place subsequent, compacted, hydrated layers to "fill" depth of 24" above native
grade, minimum.
4. Compaction test fill to 80%t relative compaction and do confirmatory profiles for depth
test, and percolation test.
5. Re -survey "as -built" of "fill" extent and design an engineered at -grade system (with ISF
pretreatment).
Lisa, this construction method is successful. Please let us know if the County will accept this
type of proposal.
eqy rs,
. an, P.E.
JKM:df
cc: Steve Majesky, Cousin Gary's Homes
427 BROADWAY • JACKSON, CA 95642 • (209) 223-1441 • (209) 223-5055 • FAX: (209) 223-5044
CSE@CALSTATEENGINEERING,COM • WWW.CALSTATEENGINEERING.COM
