Reference is made to <br /> the following publications by the Portland Cement Association : <br /> PA 147 . 01B IS211 . 01P IS19 . 02P <br /> We point out that the use of concrete pavements has <br /> increased significantly in San Joaquin County in the past one <br /> year or so . Excluding warehouse and similar-type slabs , there <br /> is very little track record available on the performance of <br /> exterior concrete paving. Our recommendations are based on <br /> our knowledge of the soil conditions at the site, and on the <br /> anticipated traffic loading. In our opinion, we did not <br /> encounter conditions that would preclude the use of the above- <br /> referenced design methods . Should conditions be encountered <br /> in the field that are different than those described in this <br /> letter, our firm should be notified. <br /> We trust this letter presents the information requested. <br /> If you have any questions or need additional information, please <br /> contact us . <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> J.
