C
Gene Delucchi.
February 6, 1987
Page 2
Study
A study by Black & Veatch, the City's consultant for the
treatment plant expansion, be done to evaluate interim and
long-range effects of your proposal. A copy of the proposal
on this study from our consultant is enclosed.
Service Area
We feel strongly that the service area should include more
than just the proposed Saddle City development. As you are
aware, there is presently a truck stop on the west side of
Thornton Road which is currently having a daily problem
with -its sewage. Caltrans has also requested that the City
provide them sewer service for a possible future rest stop
at this location. It is felt that the service area should
include the whole intersection area at Thornton and Highway 12.
Study Cost
Black & Veatch, in the enclosed proposal, indicated that
the study will cost $3,900. It is our position that the
County should pay the cost of this study.
If the County is agreeable to expanding the service area and paying the
cost of the study, the City of Lodi will authorize our consultant to
proceed and we will continue to process this request through the City
Council.
Jack L.
