Box 134 Tracy, CA 95376 RE: S-82-3, PUD 82-1 - LOS RANCHOS ESTATES Dear Mr. Olmstead: It is apparent that you have misunderstood both the concerns of the residents who live in close proximity to your planned 95+ acre (59 unit) rural residential development, and the recommendations of the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, Planning Department, and Public Works Department. There are some serious environmental prob- lems that may result as a consequence to this proposed development, and we as residents wish to protect our families and property from any deterioration in our environment that may be caused by your pro- posed development. Following the Development Review Committee Meeting of January 20, 1982 we agreed to establish a community meeting with you and your supporters. It has been difficult to arrange the schedules of our members and other officials, to arrange a convenient meeting place and time, however we have finalized the date as February 9, 1982, at 8:00 p.m. at the Lammersville School. It is necessary for us, with our limited financial resources to arrange for proper notification to the local residents via pamphlets and the Tracy Press, so we hope that this date is convenient for you also. The hearings on this development have been continued primarily because you have not provided sufficient data to allow the agencies con- cerned to evaluate the problems related to groundwater supply, ground- water contamination, safe sewage disposal, and a suitable drainage system. We would suggest that in addition to the required soil profiles and per- colation tests that you provide additional information to answer the following questions.
