Box 134 Tracy, California 95376 Re: 5-82-3 , PUD 82-1 Los Ranchos Estates • Dear Mr. Olmstead: Many of the residents of the Lammersville area are / veryconcernedabout the development of the Los RLos R_.-�ncc Esq_ Two Community meetings have been held. At the last meeting held Feb. 23, 1982, eleven citizens volunteered to serve on a committee to work with you to find a way to mitigate the serious problems associated with this develop- ment. 'Ne,as a committee, are submitting this letter to you in an attempt to get more information as well as make you aware of our proposals. As you know, there are three primary areas of concern. (1) . Water quality, (2) , Sewage disposal. and (3) . Surface, water drainage. The San Joaquin County Public Works Dept, recommended the use of a Community drain pond or ponds for this project. Do you plan on using a Community system or do you plan on using individual ponds as you stated at the community meeting held on Feb. 9, 1982 ? These ponds have not worked for the existing homes in the Santos Ranch area. Some of the lots are half under water during periods of wet weather. Many of the ponds hold water for a period of six weeks after the rains have stopped. This committee is very much against the use of individual ponds. We hope you will abide by the recommendation of S-82-3. As you are aware, the two most important questions are water quality and sewage disposal. To us, they are inter-related. These problems have been brought up at numerous meetings with you. You previously stated that you would install a community well for the new development.
