Probably scrap metal." <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Empty containers which previously held a hazardous material, including hazardous <br /> waste must be managed per Title 22 California Code of Regulations(CCR)section 66261.7. Refer to this section <br /> and California Department of Toxic Substances Control guidance for more information. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label all empty containers with the date they were emptied and manage <br /> within one year of that date. Manage the container per Title 22 CCR section 66261.7. Provide a corrective action <br /> statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) <br /> within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 502 CCR 66265.192(a) Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br /> OBSERVATION: This facility has hazardous waste tanks but no tank assessment documents. One 300 gallons <br /> used oil tank is in the tire shop. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66270.11 Signatories to Permit Applications and Reports <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66260.10 Definitions <br /> "Tank"means a stationary device, designed to contain an accumulation of hazardous waste which is constructed <br /> primarily of nonearthen materials(e.g.,wood, concrete, steel, plastic)which provide structural support. <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66265.192 Design and Installation of New Tank Systems or <br /> Components. <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66265.193 Containment and Detection of Releases <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Have a qualified Professional Engineer prepare a tank assessment for each tank. <br /> Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department(EHD)within 30 days.
