Weber Ave. 3rd Floor
Stockton, California 95202
Dear Ms. Elsaesser:
Thank you for sending me the Water System Declaration forms. I have completed one
for 2002, which definitely indicates that we will not have more than 24 customers for
more than 60 days.
The question is, what can we expect next year and beyond? In order to estimate what we
might expect for 2003 I figured as follows:
Assumptions
1. Our tasting room and marketing events will occur from April through October(7 mo.)
2. Our tasting room will be open only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
3. We will not have over 24 customers on Fridays
4. On 1/2 of the Saturdays and Sundays we will have more than 24 customers
5. We will have 25 marketing events and all will have more than 25 in attendance
Accordingly we will have 56 days at which our attendance numbers will exceed 24.
Of course we would like to have as many customers at our tasting room as possible, but
we have never been able to have a tasting room and so have no figures to go by. Also
with the disruption caused by building the winery, we must rebuild our events business,
so we may not have 24 marketing events per year.
The proposal we discussed on the phone was that since I need to re-work the piping on
my well in order to accommodate the 6" water line for the fire hydrant, I will have the
piping configured so that it will accommodate the approved back flow preventer that we
discussed. Then if our attendance numbers exceed the estimates, I will have the back
flow preventer unit installed.
