The proposed septic system will consist, at a minimum of a 1,200 -gallon septic tank with two compartments. The septic system will be connected to the three-bedroom modular home planned to be developed on the property and will be utilized 365 days a year. 3.1. EXISTING ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK USAGE No information about the existing septic system was on record at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). One liquid wastewater permit is on record at the EHD. EHD permit SR0048257 dated September 2006 for the installation of a new water well at 10800 E West Ripon Road, Ripon, California indicates the existing septic system is located to the north of the residence. No other information was available (Appendix B). 3.2. SITE SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY There are no liquid wastewater septic permits on record at the EHD. 3.3. ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK REPAIR HISTORY There are no septic wastewater repair permits on record at the EHD. 3.4. EXISTING SEPTIC TANK USAGE IN THE GENERAL AREA Neighboring properties are zoned for agricultural and residential land use. Several liquid waste permits are on record at the EHD for installation of septic systems surrounding the subject property. 3.5. GENERAL AREA SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY The following is a summary of information based on new septic system installation permits currently on file with EHD. ADDRESS: 10858 West Ripon Road LOCATION: Adjacent property to east SEPTIC SYSTEM: 1) Permit date March 1998; new installation of septic system: 2,000 - gallon concrete tank with two compartments, distribution box (D -Box), four 90 -foot -long leach lines, and four 24 -inch diameter, 10 -foot -deep seepage pits; 2) Permit date September 2006; new installation of septic system: 1,200 -gallon concrete tank with two compartments, distribution box (D -Box), and 20 -foot by 36 -foot filter bed, 18 inches deep.
