Final Phase Separation System Secondary Clarifier:
The final phase separation system is also identical in structure, size and weight as the
primary sedimentation system. Like the intermediate stabilization system this unit also
has a launder system for effluent discharge.
Aerobic Digester:
The Aerobic Digester is a special design poly tank. The unit included internal air
diffusion equipment for solids stabilization and internal/external piping for decant
disposal. Decant disposal is brought back to the influent station for re-treatment. The
aerobic digester is equipped with an auto controlled centrifugal aeration blower.
Assembly Size and Weight:
As shown on each specific "tank assy" drawing the media bloc, primary sedimentation,
intermediate system and final phase separation unit are mounted on a galvanized steel
skid. The weight of the entire completed skid assembly is 3150 lbs. As shown, fully
assembled the unit stands 16.5' tall at the media bloc tower.
The aerobic digester, influent grinding station, control panel, sludge pump system,
aeration blower and system control air a e all mounted on a separate galvanized skid.
Fully assembled this unit weights 1120 lbs.
Environmental Impact:
The three considerations for"local" environmental impact when in full operation are odor
potential, noise level and esthetics.
Odor:
The entire process is completely "aerobic". The system operates at elevated dissolved
oxygen levels. Raw sewage influent is at all times confined and no exposed to the
atmosphere, therefore, NO escaped odors. The aerobic digestion system is completely
aerobic and contained in a semi-sealed environment.
The first Bio-Raptor process has been operating for a period of over five (5) years serving
a residential mobile home park. The nearest residence to the plant is thirty-five (35) feet.
There has not been one single odor complaint from the resident in that period of time.
Noise:
