Everyone at the site should keep in mind which direction the wind is coming <br />from and where they would go in case that evacuation occurs. <br />I. COMPREHENSIVE WORK PLAN: See site work plan <br />J. DECONTAMINATION PROCEDURES: <br />A contamination reduction zone will be established to provide an area <br />where decontamination will take place. Both personnel and equipment <br />decontamination will take place in this area. Prior to leaving;; the site, all <br />personnel, equipment and support vehicles that have been in the exclusion zone <br />or in contact with a contaminated material will be decontaminated. Gloves, <br />boots, clothing, spent respirator cartridges and any other safety equipment <br />used will be considered contaminated. These items will be decontaminated if <br />possible. However, if an item cannot be safely reused it will be drummed for <br />disposal as hazardous waste. <br />Personnel decontamination will follow the steps outlined below. <br />Decontamination personnel will wear the same level of PPE as the workers <br />they are decontaminating. Scrub brushes, tubs, water sprayers both portable <br />and hose„ detergent solutions and wipe cloths will be set up in a manner to <br />effectively control the decontamination action. <br />Step 1: Equipment Drop <br />All equipment used on-site will be set on plastic sheets, in supplied <br />containers or on the wash rack. These items will be washed separately <br />from personnel. <br />Step 2: Boot and Outer Glove Wash <br />Scrub boots and gloves with a decon solution or detergent/water. <br />Rinse off with the water spray. <br />Step 3: Suit Wash (OPTIONAL) <br />Thoroughly wash suit. Scrub with brush and copious amounts of <br />decon solution or detergent/water. Rinse with water spray. <br />Step 4: Tape Removal (OPTIONAL) <br />Remove tape from around boots and gloves and deposit in a disposal <br />drum. <br />Step 5: Suit, Boots and Outer Glove Removal <br />
