Remove suit, boots and outer gloves. Hang up to dry for reuse if the <br />articles are clean. Gloves and suits not reusable will be deposited in a <br />disposal drum. <br />Step 6. Inner Glove Wash <br />If the possibility of contamination exists deposit inner gloves in a <br />disposal drum. They are not to be reused. <br />Step 7: Field Wash (OPTIONAL) <br />Shower if highly toxic, skin -corrosive or skin -absorbable materials are <br />known or suspected to be present on the skin. Washing of the hands <br />and face is the minimum requirement for skin decontamination. <br />The Site Safety Officer will monitor all decontamination -;procedures. <br />No crew personnel or equipment will be allowed to leave the site without his <br />personal approval. In addition, all site safety equipment, tools or any other <br />item used in the contamination zone will be monitored, cleaned and inspected <br />daily by site personnel under the Site Safety Officer's direction. <br />K. EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN: <br />If applicable, on-site emergency personnel will be notified of any <br />extrordinary required decontamination procedures (i.e. decontamination other <br />than stated in this safety and health plan. <br />Local emergency authorities will be notified of the hazards presented by <br />the collection event prior to the beginning of the project. In the event of overt <br />personal exposure, personal injury, fire or explosion, notification of the <br />appropriate authorities will occur immediately. The emergency phone numbers <br />are readily available at each job site. <br />A cellular phone will be located on site. The Site Supervisor will <br />determine the most appropriate phone location. <br />1 Pre -Emergency Response Planning <br />Personnel will be instructed as to the site layout, ingress and egress <br />points and location of the nearest phone and emergency support services. A <br />map showing the shortest route to the hospital will be included in the Work <br />Plan (see attachment). Weather and wind direction will be noted to help crew <br />personnel identify safe evacuation routes in the case of an emergency situation. <br />IMAM <br />
