On behalf of the current property owners, AdvancedGeo, Inc., submitted a Well
Destruction Work Plan on 12 February 2020 to destroy all on site monitoring wells.
AdvancedGeo, Inc., obtained the necessary permits from the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD), abandoned four monitoring wells and
eight recovery wells, and disposed of all materials properly. Each well was destroyed to
the satisfaction of SJCEHD permits and Central Valley Water Board guidelines and
documented in the 1 April 2020 Well Destruction Report.
Pilkington North America and the current property owner has satisfactorily completed
site investigation, implemented remediation actions, and achieved applicable remedial
action standards and objectives. A permanent remedy has been accomplished at
Pilkington North America, therefore, no further action is required.
Issuance of a No Further Action Determination does not preclude future action by the
Central Valley Water Board if subsequent monitoring, testing, or analysis of Pilkington
North America indicates that the remedial action standards and objective were not
achieved, a new or previously undiscovered release occurs on APN 198-120-080; new
information indicates that further site investigation and remedial action are required to
prevent significant risk to human health and safety, the environment or water quality; or
Pilkington North America induced the Central Valley Water Board to issue this No
Further Action Determination by fraud, negligent, or intentional nondisclosure or
misrepresentation.
If you have any questions about this letter you may contact Mr. Gerald Djuth at (916)
464-4677 or by email at Gerald.djuth@waterboards.ca.gov.
(for) PATRICK PULUPA
Executive Officer
Attachment
Cc: San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Management
Mr. Brian Millman, AdvanceGeo, Inc., Stockton
