It is apparent that standards if not already in place be developed at the county level. The following are conditions the Tracy Fire Department would like to see in place. 1. All fire hydrants in residential areas shall be within five hundred feet of each other. 2. In industrial areas hydrants should be within three hundred feet of each other. 3. No hydrants in dead-end alleys. 4. All fire department connections for sprinkler systems to be within 150' feet of a fire hydrant. 5. All access roads public or private shall have twenty feet of clear access for emergency vehicles. 6. Any street less than fifty feet in width shall have restricted parking. 7. All signage for restricted parking shall say"No Parking Fire Lane"and marked with red paint. 8. All parcels not fronting on to a public street shall have address numbers visible from the street of address. 9. All residential house numbers shall be of no less than six inches and of contrasting color. 10. High density residential projects shall be either sprinklered in all buildings or provide vehicle access around all buildings for emergency vehicles. 11. If standards are already being applied the Tracy Fire Department Prevention Bureau would like a copy of these standards for future project review.
