It is apparent that standards if not already in place be <br /> developed at the county level. The following are conditions the Tracy Fire Department would like to <br /> see in place. <br /> 1. All fire hydrants in residential areas shall be within five hundred feet of each other. <br /> 2. In industrial areas hydrants should be within three hundred feet of each other. <br /> 3. No hydrants in dead-end alleys. <br /> 4. All fire department connections for sprinkler systems to be within 150' feet of a fire hydrant. <br /> 5. All access roads public or private shall have twenty feet of clear access for emergency vehicles. <br /> 6. Any street less than fifty feet in width shall have restricted parking. <br /> 7. All signage for restricted parking shall say"No Parking Fire Lane"and marked with red paint. <br /> 8. All parcels not fronting on to a public street shall have address numbers visible from the street <br /> of address. <br /> 9. All residential house numbers shall be of no less than six inches and of contrasting color. <br /> 10. High density residential projects shall be either sprinklered in all buildings or provide vehicle <br /> access around all buildings for emergency vehicles. <br /> 11.
