Recommendations
Action
It is recommended that the Planning Commission:
1. Approve the Negative Declaration;
2. Forward General Plan Amendment Application No. GP-99-3 to the Board of
Supervisors with a recommendation for approval based upon the ability to make the
required "Basis for General Plan Amendment; and
3. Forward Zone Reclassification Application No. ZR-99-11 to the Board of Supervisors
with a recommendation for approval based upon the ability to make the required
"Bases for Zone Reclassification."
Basis for General Plan Amendment
1. The internal consistency of the General Plan is maintained in the adoption of this
Amendment.
• This determination can be made because the proposed Amendment is consistent
with the development and locational criteria for the VW designation contained in
the General Plan.
Bases for Zone Reclassification
1. The proposed zone district is consistent with the General Plan, any applicable Master Plan,
and any applicable Specific Plan.
• This basis can be made because the proposed Warehouse (I-W) zone is consistent
with the proposed Limited Industrial ( I/L) General Plan designation, if approved.
2. The proposed zone district is reasonable and beneficial at this time.
• This proposal is both reasonable and beneficial because it would permit the
existing noncompliant truck parking and repair facility to submit an application for
the permits necessary to become compliant.
San Joaquin County GP-99-3, ZR-99-11/LTH Trust
Community Development -11-
