PgV!/y SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
• 1810 E.HAZELTON AVE.,STOCKTON,CA 95205-6232
c9t/Foaa`P PHONE:209/468-3121 FAX:209/468-3163
July 25, 2001
Lee Helms
3400 Wagner Heights Road
Stockton, CA 95209
Dear Mr. Helms:
I am writing regarding the General Plan Map Amendment Application No. GP-01-8, and Zone
Reclassification Application No. ZR-01-6 you submitted on July 3, 2001. The Department of
Public Health Services has contacted me regarding the absence of a Soil Suitability Study and
Nitrate Impact Investigation report required to process a General Plan Amendment and Zone
Reclassification application.
A Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Impact Investigation report was originally submitted for
Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 209-060-04 when GP-99-3 and ZR-99-11 were applied for in
December of 1999. The Department of Public Health Services has indicated that either a new
study, or at least an addendum to the study, is required in order to review this current
application. Because this property currently has an open enforcement case (EN-98-1132)
pending, this study must be completed and submitted to the Department of Public Health
Services for review within 60 days. Please contact Ray Borges at the Department of Public
Health Services at 468-3284 with further questions.
This application was tentatively scheduled for the Planning Commission meeting of September
6, 2001. Because the soil suitability study and nitrate impact investigation report has not been
completed, the item has been removed from the September 6, 2001 agenda and been placed
on hold. Upon completion of the study, the Community Development Department will
reschedule GP-01-8/ZR-01-6 for public hearing.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 468-3161.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Jolley
Associate Planner
SAY
Cc: Ray Borges, Department of Public Health Services
 y o.c° Oa'""s•'w'
