Please read through the notice and the
questions below. I have CC'd Calgon Carbon Corp's Environmental contact listed on the
facility's CERS account. Let me know if you have any questions.
What processes are done at the Calgon Carbon Corporation Stockton site? How does
Calgon Carbon Corporation treat the spent activated carbon? How does Calgon Carbon
Corporation treat the carbon to reactivate it? What solutions are used?
What waste streams are generated from these processes? Are spent carbon solids disposed?
Are other liquids disposed aside from the spent carbon water? How are these waste streams
disposed of? Does Calgon Carbon Corporation have analysis to demonstrate proper
disposal?
Please provide the names of the materials that stored on site, estimated amounts, and
provide an SDS for each? We are trying to determine if you need an HMBP permit.
Thank you,
ClaUdia MUY0
Environmental Health Specialist
San .Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
