Provide precast reinforced concrete septic tank, of size <br /> and capacity as shown on drawings. <br /> 2.02 DISTRIBUTION BOX <br /> A. Provide precast reinforced concrete distribution box, of <br /> size and configuration as shown on drawings. Construct of <br /> same materials as septic tank, unless otherwise indicated. <br /> B. Comply with requirements of NSPC. <br /> 2. 03 DRAINAGE FIELD <br /> A. Furnish drainage pipe complete with bends , adapters , <br /> couplings, collars, and joint materials, to suite project. <br /> B. Drains : Perforated polyvinyl chloride pipe, ANSI/AbTM D <br /> 2729, 2000# crush rated. <br /> C. Filter Material : washed, crushed stone, graded form <br /> 2-1/2" to 1" . <br /> D. Filter Mat: 15# tarpaper. <br /> 2. 04 SEEPAGE PITS <br /> A. Purpose: The seepage pit provides an area for absorption <br /> of liquid wastes into the soil. <br /> B. Materials: The seepage pit shall be filled with rocks two <br /> ' inches ( 2" ) to four inches ( 4" ) in diameter to the level <br /> of the outside top of the distribution box or tee. A <br /> three foot ( 31 ) soil barrier and tightline shall precede <br /> each seepage pit. The rock and distribution box or tee <br /> shall be covered with 15 pound building paper prior to <br /> backfilling. The seepage pit shall contain a vertical <br /> four inch perforated leach pipe extending to the pit <br /> bottom and connected with a four inch capped tee to the <br /> tight line or connected through an open bottom <br /> distribution box. <br /> C. A minimum soil barrier of three feet ( 31 ) required between <br /> leach line and pit. <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM 15460-2 <br />
