Please <br />note that whenever the time of recharge is changed, the <br />time -of -day setting must be changed also. <br />TIME OF DAY <br />Upon completing the installation, the timer must be set to <br />the correct time of day. Time of day must also be reset after <br />any kind of power interruption, such as that caused by an <br />electrical storm (see Fig. 25). <br />1. Determine the correct time of day. <br />2. Grasp the gear (K) and lift straight up (the white time - <br />of -day dial will lift with it). Rotate the gear until the <br />correct time of day lines up with the pointer (P). The <br />dial is spring-loaded and will return its position when <br />released. Make sure the teeth mesh. <br />NOTICE: The silver half of the time -of -day dial designates <br />20 / HI-FLO, 2 WATER SOFTENER <br />the daytime hours, while the black half designates the night <br />time hours. In Fig. 25, the time is 3:00 p.m. <br />MANUAL RECHARGE <br />An extra recharge can be initiated any time extra soft water <br />is required by pushing the manual recharge lever (M) in the <br />direction of the arrow, then releasing. The unit will still <br />recharge at its regular frequency as determined by the <br />frequency wheel. <br />NOTICE: For delay-styleAqua-Sensor® units, first push the <br />red reset button (R), then push the manual recharge lever. <br />SERVICE POSITION <br />The timer assembly is in the service position when the tooth- <br />less notch in the cam gear is over the teeth on the idler gear <br />(L). The timer will return to this position after each recharge <br />(Fig. 25). <br />
