The water supplier shall notify the persons <br /> served by the water system in the following methods of a Water Quality Failure, and using the <br /> language of Enclosure A: <br /> (A) Method 2 (Daily Newspaper Notice of Water Quality Failure)-Notice shall be given once <br /> within 14 days after the violation or failure by publication in a daily newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the area served by the system. <br /> Or, if no Daily Newspaper, then; <br /> (B) Method 3 (Weekly Newspaper Notice of Water Quality Failure) -Notice shall be given <br /> once within 14 days after the violation or failure by publication in a weekly newspaper of <br /> general circulation serving the area. <br /> And <br /> Method 4 (Mail Delivery of Notice of Water Quality Failure) -Notice by direct mail or <br /> with the water bill shall be given once within 45 days after the violation or failure. The <br /> Department may waive the requirement for mail delivery if it determines that the violation or <br /> failure has been corrected within the 45-day period. If such a waiver is given it shall be given <br /> in writing within the 45-day period. Repeat notice by mail shall be given at least once every 3 <br /> months for as long as the violation or failure continues. <br /> Or <br /> Method 5 (Hand Delivery of Notice of Water Quality Failure) -Notice by hand delivery <br /> shall be given once within 45 days after the violation or failure. The Department may waive <br /> the requirement for hand delivery if it determines that the violation has been corrected within <br /> the 45-day period. If such a waiver is given it shall be given in writing within the 45-day <br /> period. Repeat notice by hand delivery shall be given at least once every 3 months forlas long <br /> as the violation or failure continues. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
