1.1 <br />The site will be open on a seven day a week basis with hours to best <br />serve the public and ccmmercial franchise haulers. The site will be closed <br />four holidays per year, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day and <br />Christmas <br />C. Plans for Standby Equipment Availability <br />Standby equipment will be supplied fran the County Public Works Operations <br />Division, Flood Control Division, or can be obtained through lease or rental <br />agreements - <br />D. Site Sanitary Facilities <br />Toilet facilities foremplqyee_q will be provided prior to starting operations <br />and will meet Local Health District requirements. Initially, chemical toilets <br />are planned. <br />Drinking and washing water will be provided for site personnel from the <br />wells and pressure storage tanks. <br />E. Site Closure <br />A site closure plan will be developed as detailed operational plans are <br />developed. Preliminary planning indicates the site will be converted back <br />to.agricultural use. <br />6. NUISANCE CONTROL w <br />ASURES <br />A. Noise <br />The site is situated in a remote, sparsely populated GA -40 agricultural <br />preserve area. Residences are sparse, the nearest being 900 feet northeast <br />of the site. The Forward Inc. and City of Stockton landfills have created <br />a screen for noise to the east and no of the site. It is expected that <br />low density population will prevent noise -nuisance ccoplaints. The two existing <br />landfill operations have not generated any ccmplaints. No noise measurements <br />representative of the site landfill operation have been conducted. <br />B. Odor - Rodent Control - Vectors <br />Daily covering of refuse has proven to be an effective control for rodents, <br />vectors, and odor. This same daily cover operation has proven to effectively <br />control these nuisance it in the two existing adjacent landfills. <br />C. Dust <br />During dry summer months a water truck will be used for dust control. <br />Water will be provided fran the on-site wells. <br />4 <br />
