V� <br /> San Joaquin County, California <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> In response to your request at our most recent meeting and, in compliance <br /> with paragraph A-5 of 'Taste Discharge Requirements issued under Order <br /> No. 73-182, we are requesting authorization to receive approximately 130,000 <br /> cubic yards of Group d• waste; from FMC Corporation for disposal at the <br /> Forward Inc. Disposal. <br /> .Site in San Joaquin County. <br /> tr <br /> a+ <br /> The waste materials are•generated at the FMC Industrial- Division In <br /> Modesto, California and are as described in the FMC letter to your Board <br /> dr <br /> dated November 13, 1977 by Mr. Dale F. Bowlin, Resident Manager. The wastes <br /> will be transported to the Forward, Disposal Site by Modesto Sand and Gravel . <br /> Company under the terms of a separate agreement with FMC Corporation. <br /> Placement of wastes in the site and subsequent covering of same will also be <br /> conducted by personnel and equipment of Modesto Sand and Gravel :ander_ <br /> the supervision of Forward , Inc. and Beta Associates, Waste Management <br /> Consultants. <br /> x <br /> During the months of October and November, 1977, Forward, Inc. excavated <br /> a disposal trench with interior volume of approximately 31 ,000 cubic <br /> yards to accept the first shipments of the suCiject wastes. On Novenier ?2, 197-1 <br /> representatives of Forward, Inc. and Beta Associates met with Mr. .lames Parsons <br /> of the Water Resources Control Board and members of your staffto discuss -2 <br /> site preparation details necessary to allow the disposal of the subject <br /> waste. At this meeting, it was suggested that e site inspection be <br /> conducted by Mr. Parsons and Mr. Sterling Davis.
