REHS <br />Steven Stith, REHS <br />Michelle Henry, REHS <br />Elena Manzo, REHS <br />August 29, 2022 <br />Don Chesney <br />Chesney Consulting <br />PO BOX 3794 <br />Turlock CA 95381 <br />RE: Soil Suitability Study <br />9015 W Walnut Grove Rd., Thornton, CA. 95686 <br />APN 001-140-40, SR0085701 <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability (SS) <br />Study, dated August 26, 2022 for the above noted location, and has the following comments for your <br />consideration. <br />The SS study was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater <br />treatment system (OVVTS) for a proposed repair/upgrade to the system. <br />Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings: <br />The Percolation tests conducted on March 17, 2022 yielded percolation rates of 35.7 min/inch, 8.3 <br />min/inch, and 83.3 min/inch. At this rate, a minimum 5 feet of soil separation is required between <br />bottom of the dispersal field and the groundwater. The SS study reports a historic groundwater <br />level of 10 feet below surface grade.
