When possible, travel directly
uphill or downhill.
❑ Attempt to cross obstacles such as small logs and small erosion
channels or ditches squarely, not at an angle.
❑ Use the assistance of someone on the ground as a guide when lateral or
overhead clearance is close.
❑ After the drilling rig has been moved to a new drilling site, set all
brakes and/or locks. Block the wheels.
❑ Never travel off-road with the mast (derrick) of the drill rig in the
raised or partially raised position.
Cleaning the Work Area.
Prior to drilling, adequate site cleaning and leveling should be performed to I
accommodate the drill rig and supplies and provide a safe working arca.
