PROCEDURE <br /> All persons detained within the Manteca City Jail will receive fair and equal treatment as <br /> specified under these rules and regulations. <br /> A. Number of Personnel <br /> 1. Sufficient number of personnel shall be on duty to permit intermittent, random, <br /> direct visual supervision of all inmates. <br /> 2. Whenever there is an inmate in custody, there shall be at least one(1) employee on <br /> duty at all times in the Manteca City Jail or within the police building who shall be <br /> immediately available to the inmates in the event of an emergency. Whenever one (1) <br /> or more female inmates are in custody,there shall be at least one (1) female employee <br /> who shall in like manner be immediately available and accessible to such females. <br /> Normally,the Public Safety Dispatcher will meet this requirement. <br /> B. Fire and Life Safety Training <br /> 1. All employees of the Manteca Police Department shall be aware of the location <br /> and method of operation of the fire alarms and fire extinguishers used in the Manteca <br /> City Jail. <br /> C. Inmate Records <br /> 1. An arrest/booking sheet shall be completed for each person booked in the <br /> Manteca City Jail. The arrest/booking sheet shall be completed as directed in the Report <br /> Writing Manual. The arrestibooking sheet shall accompany the inmate when they are <br /> transferred to any other facility or given to the inmate if they are released directly from <br /> the Manteca City Jail. <br /> 1. <br />
